CAN Akıl ve Tutku

Product description

Jane austen's first novel, sense and sensibility, achieves great success right after its publication. The novel, which is about the years when the dashwood sisters entered adulthood and the emotional upheavals of these years, also carries traces from the author's relationship with his own sister cassandra. The intelligence and passion, which has been adapted for the big screen many times, distinguishes itself from its contemporaries by choosing austen's characters from women, contrary to the literary trends of the period.

Elinor, the nineteen-year-old representative of reason and common sense, and her seventeen-year-old sister marianne, who lives all the emotions in their most intense form and often destroys herself the most with her sensitivity, step into a new life where they are strangers after the loss of their father.

The story of two sisters who transformed into young women amidst the poverty caused by the parasitic brothers, the emotional instability that sometimes turned their mothers sick, the frivolity of their relatives who came later to see, and the heartbreaks caused by the opposite sex, becomes one of the most beloved works in the history of literature when adorned with rich character resolutions and austen's sparkle of wit. “jane austen's witty intelligence is hand in hand with the perfection of her style.
