CAN Bir Kadının Kavgaları ve Dönüşümleri

Product description

I felt like i lost my tongue looking at this photo.

Seeing him free in his entirety, on his way to the future with his whole body, brings to mind the years he shared with my father, the humiliations he was subjected to, poverty, between the ages of twenty-five and forty-five, other women experience life, freedom, journey, self-knowledge, while being ripped away from his life by male violence and misery, bringing almost two decades of destruction. Seeing this photo made me remember that this destroyed twenty years were not a natural thing, but a consequence of the actions of external forces independent of it - society, patriarchy, my father, meaning everything could have been otherwise. In 'a woman's fights and transformations', édouard louis describes his mother this time.

he tells the story of a woman who, when she turned forty-five, raised the flag of rebellion, gradually freed herself by choosing to live as she wished, and finally discovered herself.

With the desire to have a different mother as a child, today she does not hesitate to address the cruel systems that govern our lives in her narrative about the experience of seeing her as a free and happy woman despite everything, and also the possibility of escaping from them - again without reservation, again powerfully.

“édouard louis is one of the most important literary voices of his generation.
