Park the two cars facing each other or side by side, with the engines off. Make sure both cars have the parking brake engaged. Connect the cables in the correct order: Red (+): Connect the negative terminal of the dead battery to the positive terminal of the working battery. Black (-): Connect the negative terminal of the working battery to the body of the dead car (an unpainted metal part away from the battery). Start the donor car first, then the dead car after 3–5 minutes. After starting the dead car, disconnect the cables in reverse order: negative then positive. 💡 Warning: Do not let the cables touch each other during connection, and do not connect the negative terminal directly to the dead battery to avoid sparks.
