Fill the mate cup about 3/4 full with yerba mate.
Tilt the cup slightly to gather some of the yerba mate toward the side.
Moisten the bottom layer of yerba mate with a small amount of lukewarm water.
Place the bombilla into the cup without stirring the denser portion of the yerba mate too much.
Slowly pour water at a temperature of approximately 70–80°C over the area where the bombilla is located. It is recommended that the water not be boiling. �
