Product description

The human brain has lost more than 20,000 years of tennis ball-sized volume: the brain of our ancestors who lived before history was larger than ours.

this is strange, because for most of evolution, the human brain had grown.

this shrinkage that occurs in the last phase seems to contradict the assumption that the brain will also grow with the progress of science, education and technology: the idea that intelligent creatures have big brains may be wrong.

on the other hand, we know that large-brained animals are more successful in problem-solving.

as a matter of fact, the human brain is seven times larger than expected for its body size, and our ability to cope with today's complex life confirms the assumption that we are getting smarter by the minute. However, contrary to the belief that shrinkage in our brains means that larger brains have more intelligence and that we are smarter than our prehistoric ancestors.

in this case, most of our assumptions about the development of human intelligence are groundless. For example, our ancestors who lived in the stone age must have been farther back than us.

they can be as smart as we are.

because, much of our knowledge of the world comes from the experiences of others more than our own efforts. The human brain may have shrunk because we have been domesticated: “domestication does not only lead to small brains in animals, but also changes the way they think. The çağcıl civilization did not emerge because we suddenly became more perceptive as a species, but rather, it occurred thanks to our learning to improve the technology and knowledge we inherited from sharing information, which is a byproduct of domestication.

the long childhood was useful for transferring knowledge from one generation to another, but the reason for the evolution to initially move in this direction was to allow us to learn to understand everyone in carving. It was the urge to learn to live in harmony together that allowed the development of common intelligence, not the opposite.

by sharing the information, we are not necessarily more understandable, but we have become more educated.
