Mix an appropriate amount of henna with warm water until a cohesive paste is formed. Leave the paste for 2-3 hours to enhance color effectiveness (preferably cover it). Apply to clean, dry, or slightly damp hair from roots to ends. Cover hair and leave for 2 to 4 hours depending on the desired color. Rinse thoroughly with water only, avoiding shampoo on the same day.
