Instructions for Use/Warnings
To get the best sound performance from your Litman 5809 headphones, follow these steps: Adjust the direction of the earbuds: Make sure the earbuds are facing forward (towards your nose) before placing them in your ears. This ensures that the sound is aligned with the ear canal and provides complete isolation from external noise. Use the Tunable Diaphragm: To hear low-frequency sounds: Place the head of the stethoscope very gently on the patient's skin (light pressure). To hear high-frequency sounds: Press a little harder on the head of the stethoscope against the patient's skin. Switching between the adult side and the pediatric side: Hold the head of the stethoscope and rotate it 180 degrees until you hear a "click." This opens the sound channel for the side you want to use and closes the other side. Converting the pediatric side to an "open bell": You can remove the small membrane and install the "non-chill rubber ring" included in the case to convert this side to a classic open bell for examining narrow areas or specific frequencies.
