Product description

Indications: To cover and protect the catheter insertion site and wounds, to create a moist environment for wound healing or as a secondary dressing, as a protective dressing for people with compromised skin, to facilitate autolytic debridement and fixation of instruments to the skin, to cover first and second degree burns and to protect the eye.

Do not use Film Drape as a substitute for sutures and other initial wound closure methods.

Precautions: Stop any bleeding at the application site before applying the film drape

Do not stretch the film drape during application, as tension may cause skin trauma

Ensure that the skin is clean and free of soap and lotion residue and that the skin to which the film drape will be applied is thoroughly dry before applying the film drape to prevent skin irritation and to ensure good adhesion.The film cover may only be applied to an infected area in the presence of a health care professional

Anti-microbial ointments containing poly ethylene glycols may compromise the durability of the product

The product should not be re-sterilized by gamma, E-ray or steam methods
