I am 174 cm tall, 70 kg, which size should I buy? How about if I buy 14 oz?
Answer from antifight
What is Oz? How Many Oz Gloves Do They Mean? The “Oz” (ounces) is the weight measurement of the glove. 1 oz is about 28.35 grams. The 10 oz, 12 oz, 14 oz, 16 oz, etc. on the glove refers to the total weight of the glove and the amount of padding. General Usage Guidelines: * 10 oz – 12 oz: Ideal for speed and technique work. * 14 oz – 16 oz: Suitable for sparring and heavy training. * 16 oz and above: Recommended for professional sparring and athletes with heavier weight classes. As glove weight increases, so does the inner padding, providing enhanced protection. But heavy glove, requires more fitness. ATHLETE WEIGHT RECOMMENDED GLOVES 45 – 55 kg 10 oz – 12 oz 55 – 65 kg 12 oz 65 – 75 kg 12 oz – 14 oz 75 – 85 kg 14 oz 85 kg + 16 oz
