Install the switch in a well-ventilated location or standard 19-inch rack. Connect the power cable and switch on the device. Connect network devices to the Gigabit Ethernet ports using Cat5e or better Ethernet cables. Use the management port or console port for initial configuration if required. Configure IP address, VLANs, and other network settings through the web interface, CLI, or network management software. Verify that the port Link LEDs are illuminated after connecting devices. For fiber uplinks, install compatible SFP modules in the SFP ports and connect the fiber cables. Save the configuration after setup is complete. Disconnect power before cleaning or servicing the device.
