Ayrıntı Yayınları Bahar a

Product description

Is Bahar, a young Turkish-German girl, dead or murdered? Everyone agrees that Bahar was the victim of an honor killing

but is Bahar's brother Burak, who was arrested as a suspect, really guilty? Ina, a social counselor, can no longer resist the insistence of Bahar's mother and begins to search for traces of the crime in the Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg neighborhood, where Turkish immigrants live in large numbers... On the other hand, friends of the two brothers and their grandparents who live in a village in the Black Sea region are also on the trail... When both the narrators and the narrated are confronted with their own prejudices, they are forced to reconsider their usual thoughts and attitudes... From the press: "Sabine Adatepe wrote a novel about honor killings? Maybe! She managed to write an emotional novel about the fragmentation, sadness and culture shock of Turkish people in Germany

she has both a Turkish and a German point of view..." - Rukiye Çankıran, migazin.

"A heartwarming, honest and unprejudiced novel about integration and migration in so-called problematic neighborhoods..." - Lovelybooks.

"From the very first paragraphs it becomes clear that the author has not drawn stereotypical figures, either perpetrators or victims.

On the contrary, we can easily understand the logic according to which each figure acts.

This creates a tension that the reader never wants to get out of..." - Jürgen Schöneich, elbinsel
