Product description

Thanks to tournier, one of the great masters of contemporary french prose, we learn to look at life through a kaleidoscope. Tournier takes us on long journeys in the world he recreates in each novel. His novels, such as friday, the thicket rooster, the golden drop, the farewell dinner, the welding and the king of the thicket alders, each of which pushes the limits of our existence with its infinite possibilities of images and relationships, are each a universe of philosophy, unlike any other. One of his stunning novels is meteors. In time and space

a novel of a tidal journey between the world, the universe, the events of nature, and more importantly, lives and mentalities. Edouard, a man stuck between the roles of a family patriarch and a businessman in the french countryside of the 1930s and his life in parisian bohemia. . . A mother who accepted everything into her house, giving birth to children all the time, and her last children, twins jean and paul. . . An educational institution for children with disabilities. . . Edouard's two brothers: the custodian gustave, who is at the head of the garbage empire, and the gay bohemian alexandre, who, when he dies, has to take over the business. . . We're leaving for an interesting journey through the european background formed by the second world war and the post-war period in the meteors: the universe of secret communications of children in the institution for disabled children or the closed, absolute universes of twins

The heterosexual opposite of the basic mentality of the modern world, the state of not being heterosexual

Even the extremely mysterious, rich world of garbage, some of the stops we have passed during our journey. And meteors, that is, twins

Those who live according to celestiality, winds, tides

Those who speak wind language. . . "other" ones. . . Tournier once again attacks the world of that poor fellow called the modern individual

It speaks from the language of another life, the language of the wind. . . If you are tired of those who always speak the same language, who say that life is not a secret, and you wonder what the meaning of the rubbish collected every day, the deviants, the twins, the secret of meteorological phenomena, the signs carried by space and time

Then, when you finish the meteors, your life will have changed by your reading.
