A stretchable bandage used to apply pressure to a specific part of the body.

It comes in a roll with elastic clips used to secure the bandage in place once wrapped around the injury.

Uses: To help reduce swelling in the injured area of the body.

To secure wound dressings in place.

Wrapping around an arm or leg cast during healing.

Improving blood flow to a limb such as an arm or leg.

To secure cold or hot compresses in place on a part of the body, such as the arm.

When wearing an elastic bandage, start from the injury and continue wrapping around the affected area.

For example, in the case of a knee injury, you would start below the knee then wrap the bandage around and above the knee, this helps to better control swelling.

Safety and comfort tips: Be careful not to wrap the bandage too tightly as it may cut off blood flow.

To help blood flow, remove the bandage twice a day (after consulting your doctor), then leave it for a few minutes and rewrap it.

If you feel numbness or tingling where the bandage is, remove it, gently massage the area, then rewrap the bandage when you feel better.

If the area of the bandage becomes cold or turns blue, remove it and consult a doctor.

Wash the bandage when it gets dirty, and it is preferable to have another elastic bandage for use.

When to consult a doctor: You have pain, cramping, or redness where the bandage is wrapped.

You have tingling or numbness that does not go away after removing the bandage.

The skin around the bandage is pale blue and feels cold.

There is redness in the area of the wrap.
