Avoid placing it on carpet entirely, as this will give inaccurate results. Operation: Stand directly on the scale with your full body weight (Quick-Start technique). There is no need to press it or wait. Position: Stand exactly in the center of the scale and distribute your weight evenly on both feet; remain still until the result appears and stabilizes. Reading: Wait a few seconds until the screen flashes or the final reading stabilizes. Shutdown: Step off the scale; the device will automatically shut down after a few seconds to conserve battery life.
