Book Dark Clouds a Novel by أرنالدور أندريداسون

Product description

Between the villa district and the working-class neighborhoods, dark clouds of greed, treachery, and crime gather, where Arnaldur Indridason masterfully weaves together human emotions, building the reader's suspense with each page. Following a reunion of former classmates, Police Inspector Olli emerges disillusioned with his work, especially after his relationship with the police force has plummeted and his position within the department has become precarious. When a favor he does for a friend results in the death of a woman before his very eyes, he is thrust into the task of investigating the crime. In the novel, Lena and Ebi are partners who indulge in inappropriate activities. Herriman and his wife, with her promising political future, engage in a game they shouldn't be playing. Patrick's relationship with his wife Susanna deteriorates when he tells her something he shouldn't. Knutur, Arnar, Sverrir, and Thorfinur are partners who play a game they shouldn't be playing. Andres, meanwhile, experiences childhood traumas that no child should ever have to endure. A series of events brings all these characters together around Detective Sigurdur Uli. “Dark Clouds” is a detective novel in which novelist Arnaldur Indridason excels at diverting the reader's attention from what he should not see.
