Book Westward migration

Product description

In an unspecified city where the specter of civil war looms, two lovers, Saeed and Nadia, plan to escape through hidden doors that will magically lead them to the West. Thus begins a long, perilous journey through a world divided between darkness and light, rich and poor, and “native” and refugee. The novel is not a traditional love story, although its opening pages may suggest that. Rather, its central theme is migration, asylum, and travel between countries, fleeing life from a city on the brink of all-out civil war and seeking a safe and dignified life in other distant cities in the West, specifically where stability and peace prevail and the sounds of armed conflict are subdued.
