Black BNC video power cable is easy to install and can be connected to a DVR, DVD recorder, TV, capture card, multiplexer, etc.

All you have to do is connect it to your CCTV camera using BNC and power it to your DVR/recording device, then connect it and place the red cable into the power adapter in the socket behind your DVR.

Some cameras may require a BNC to phono adapter.

We recommend running power through the cable to the camera to prevent &quot

ground loops&quot

Tips: Ground loop: Ground loops can be seen as hum bars (bands of slightly different brightness) moving vertically up the screen.

Low current wires are particularly susceptible to ground loops.

If two pieces of audio equipment are connected to different power outlets, there is often a difference in their ground potentials.

If a signal is passed from one to another via a video connection with the ground wire intact, this potential difference causes a spurious current across the cables, creating video noise at the AC fundamental frequency (50 or 60 Hz) and its harmonics (120 Hz, 240 Hz, etc.

), called mains current.
