CAN Asılacak Kadın

Product description

The woman to hang has made a great impact since its first publication day, a novel that has entered among the classics of turkish literature with both its narrative technique and its bold attitude towards the positioning of women in society. Pınar kür, who examines a murder that we read about in the inner pages of newspapers, lays out the social fabric behind the prejudice against the woman in all its reality. Three statements, each in its own inner integrity, considered subjective as much as it can be: the statement of faik irfan elverir, who integrated the interests of the 'common consciousness' into the whole, stripped of humanity. A sexual object, a tangible despair, condemned to a complete victim position, the voiceless speech of the angel. And the statement reflecting the unfailing consciousness of yalçın, who is astonished, stuck in a dead end of a good intention.

a message objective as much as the fact that these three are wrapped around a key event (the murder of the mansion) that almost loses its importance in terms of the main word of the novel. This novel by pınar kür, which harmonizes a heartfelt social criticism with the possibilities of writing, questions a segment of decadence that threatens the dignity of the woman, and therefore, of course, of the human being.
