CAN Bir İdam

Product description

Most people are not overly selfish. After the age of thirty or so, they give up their individual ambitions - in some cases, almost forget that they are individuals - and basically start living for others, getting crushed under the weight of life. But there is also a talented, stubborn minority who have made it their business to live their lives to the fullest, and the authors belong to this group. George orwell was not only a novelist who wrote in his novels, 1984 and animal farm, but also a master of prose of his time. A judgment brings together four articles, each a book-length work, showcasing the author's expertise in this area. In "why i write," orwell recounts how he embarked on his career as a writer, while in "the limits of art and propaganda," he reflects on the role of art and literature during wartime. In "animal farm," written during a time in england when occupation was a real possibility, and london was being bombed, orwell attempts to reconcile the need for a socialist revolution with patriotic feelings and the identity of his country. If the book is titled "a death," it's a short essay about the events surrounding a death penalty execution that the author witnessed while serving in burma. A testament, a selection from the thought world of a writer and a patriot.
