CAN Go Ustası

Product description

According to the tradition of the game of go, a player had to stick to the day of the competition, even if he could not see the face of his father on his deathbed, even if he was too sick to fall on the go table. Go is a game that is simple to understand its rules, but takes a lifetime to master. This strategy game, where black and white stones try to surround each other on a board, has the essence of the japanese spirit and way of thinking. Go master takes us to the final battle of the undefeated life of the last living master, hon'inbo shusai. The master, who grew up in the go tradition, is now old and sick

his opponent, otake, on the other hand, plays with a machine-like speed, aggressive style, and efficiency. This almost allegorical encounter, which begins at a hot spring hotel in the middle of japan's magical landscape, will last for exactly six months. The go master, who winks at a place beyond two colors, two people, and two generations, a place of universal truth, is a story of a man who devoted his life to his art, facing his fate and his place in history. In kawabata's story, there's a quiet courage and a nobility reminiscent of the autumn of life.
