CAN Hücre

Product description

A mexican prison in the late 1960s.

albino, polonium and hergele: three convicts, who, abandoned to the mercy of waiting, power and fate, are writhing from the lack of drugs, and a prison in a prison.

The cell, written in a single paragraph by josé revueltas, who paid a heavy price as a leader of the 1968 student movement, is considered one of the classics of latin american literature. it's a true panopticon where the concepts of crime and punishment are intertwined.

“revueltas is a synthesis of the mexican soul: irreverent, rogue, creative, desperate and with genie ideas. It is impossible to understand contemporary latin american literature without the masterpiece of pablo neruda, “revueltas”.
