Product description

In all wars, the same thing always happens

soldiers fight, journalists tear off the shaming

none of those nationalist rhetoric throwers come anywhere near the front-line trenches, except for brief propaganda trips. A testimony from george orwell, who said that he wrote every line since 1936 for his democratic socialist thought, describes his experiences as a militia in the spanish civil war in selam olsun catalonia. Orwell, who came to barcelona at the end of 1936 with the thought of writing about his impressions of the war for a newspaper, joins the spanish and world citizens who came together against general franco's cruelty. He fights next to the republicans in the aragon front, he personally witnesses the events of may in barcelona and does not leave the trenches until he is injured in huesca. In 1984 and on animal farm, orwell, who tells the story of the bleak world of totalitari regimes and single men, describes a period when his conscience, intellectual and political thought were shaped. Although it changed the course of the 20th century, selam olsun catalonia is an unparalleled document about a war that has almost been completely forgotten and modern politics. # Hispanyish civil war # Second world war # Republicanism # Journalism # Testimony # Socialism product name: bless catalonia product code: 9789750748820 author: george orwell publication year: 2021 cover type: cardboard cover number of pages: 272 paper type: book paper translator: celal üster
