Product description

The gist of slow's story is this: "the level of slowness is directly proportional to the intensity of the moment

the level of speed is directly proportional to the intensity of forgetting." There's a delicate balance between taking your time to remember and forgetting in a hurry. Anyone who wants to remember something slows down their walk. In contrast, a person trying to forget a bad event that just happened to him, speeds up his walk without holding on to anything. Kundera contrasts the power of true "libertinism" with the helplessness of visual tyranny, and epicurus's pleasures with the allure of the automobile. "(jean-pierre tison, lire) "the defender of the tolerable lightness of being. They're holding a mirror to our faces, diderot and gogol: we're not as ugly as we think we are. . . (alain bosquet, litteraire magazine) "slowness is not a serious novel, it's a joke: the secret of pleasure, which is lost in the annoying seriousness of chatter, is a book that tries to find it again through pleasure and for pleasure." Don quixote was also a joke." (pierre lepape, le monde) "milan kundera, since the roman art, advances a form of novel that combines fiction and experimentation, and imagery with experience." According to him, the art of the novel has not exhausted all its possibilities, there is still a huge path waiting to be discovered.
