CAN Yolculuk Günlükleri

Product description

Journey diaries covers the notes that albert camus kept during his trips to the united states in 1946 and to south america in 1949, after the second world war. On his first trip to the united states, camus, at times with admiration, at times with critical eyes, portrayed a journalist trying to understand and evaluate the new world. From one side, he's also designing the works he'll put in the future, primarily the plague. If he was heading to south america, he is now an officially invited author worldwide. In these journals, we encounter camus, a man battling fatigue and hardship, his body weakened by a labored breath, desperately trying to distance himself from the human condition. The common and very interesting aspect of the two notebooks presented in the book is that they give the opportunity to see how the author made the transition from the raw notes to the processed works, going beyond the opening of camus's inner world. Witnessing the transformation of the objective world and the emotions and thoughts stemming from it into literature is an opportunity not to be missed.
