Celestron 93625 Universal T-Adapter, 1.25-inch

Product description

The Celestron Universal T-Adapter connects a DSLR or SLR camera body to a telescope with a 1.25-inch focuser or eyepiece adapter.

The T-threads screw onto the top of the adapter to a T-ring (sold separately), which is designed to attach to the camera's specific brand mounting flange.

The cylindrical end of the T-adapter slides into the focuser, just like an eyepiece, and is held in place with a thumbscrew on the focuser or diagonal.

Please note that some telescopes, especially 'fast' refractors and most Newtonian telescopes, may not have enough inward focus travel to allow prime focus photography when used in prime focus mode.

In these cases, we recommend using the Universal Barlow T-Adapter (#93640), which will double the magnification but will allow the telescope to reach focus.

Prime focus photography is popular for short-exposure images of terrestrial objects as well as astronomical objects such as the Moon.

This product offers universal compatibility with telescopes.
