To install the SIM card in your Nokia 6500 Classic (RM-265), first power off the phone and remove the back cover by sliding it downward away from the camera. Take out the battery, and you will see a metal SIM holder in the compartment; slide your Mini-SIM (the large, standard size) into this slot with the gold contacts facing down and the angled corner aligned with the guide. If you are using a modern, tiny Nano-SIM, you must use an adapter to prevent it from getting stuck or damaging the pins. Once the SIM is secure, replace the battery and slide the back cover back into place until it clicks.
