Product description
Citalopram is used to treat depression.
Do not take if allergic to active ingredients or other components, or if taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors, Escitalopram, Pimozide, Linezolid, or Methylene Blue.
Warnings: Inform your doctor about heart problems (irregular heartbeat, heart failure, recent ), Parkinson's medications (within 14 days), seizures, bleeding, liver disease, or severe kidney disease.
This drug increases the risk of suicidal thoughts or actions in children and young adults
close monitoring is required.
Seek medical attention for suicidal thoughts or actions.
May increase bleeding risk with other drugs.
Effects may take up to 4 weeks.
Serotonin syndrome (irritability, confusion, hallucinations, fever, rapid heartbeat, muscle cramps, muscle stiffness, seizures, tremors, shaking, excessive sweating, severe , upset stomach, vomiting, or very severe headache) may occur.
Do not stop suddenly
your doctor will gradually discontinue it.
Possible side effects: rash, itching, red, sore, or peeling skin, chest or throat tightness, difficulty breathing, swallowing, or speaking, unusual hoarseness, or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Serious side effects include suicidal thoughts, serotonin syndrome, low sodium levels, bleeding, seizures, and heart rhythm disorder.
Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking.
Take as directed by your doctor, at the same time daily.
Do not stop suddenly.
The usual starting dose is 10 or 20 mg once daily, which your doctor may gradually increase.
Store at room temperature from 68 to 77 degrees Fahrenheit (20 to 25 degrees Celsius).
Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiration date mentioned on the box.
The dosage form and method of administration of Citalopram 20 mg tablets and 40 mg tablets should be prescribed according to the therapeutic indication and severity of the disease for each patient individually.
