Mahalab can be used by mixing an amount of ground mahlab seeds with a little water, then distributing the mixture over the entire skin and neck, after which the skin is rubbed in gentle circular motions with the fingertips until the mixture disintegrates, then the face is washed with lukewarm water, and any moisturizing cream suitable for the skin type is applied. Two tablespoons of ground mahlab can also be mixed with olive oil or any other oil, and a few drops of rose water are added. The entire face is rubbed with the mixture, then rinsed with lukewarm water.
