What is Cepa Heparin Allantoin Gel and what are its uses: • Cepa Heparin Allantoin Gel is used to treat various types of scars after wound healing.

• The gel prevents the growth of scar tissue and softens scars.

The gel also reduces redness, swelling, and pain ().

• It is suitable for use in patients with thick scars raised above the skin surface, sometimes with a different color than the surrounding skin, and those that inhibit movement, as well as cosmetically disfiguring scars resulting from surgery, amputation, burns, or accidents.

It is suitable for contractures, such as Dupuytren's contracture (persistent bending of fingers) and traumatic tendon contractures, as well as atrophic scars (scars below or above the skin surface).

What you need to know before using Cepa Heparin Allantoin Gel: Do not use Cepa Heparin Allantoin: if you are allergic to onion extract, sodium heparin, allantoin, methyl 4-hydroxybenzoate (paraben), sorbic acid, or other ingredients of this gel.

Warnings and Precautions: • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using the gel.

• Contractubex gel contains parabens (methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate) which can cause delayed allergic reactions.

This gel contains sorbic acid which can lead to local skin reactions (such as dermatitis).

Other medications and Cepa Heparin Allantoin: No interactions have been reported.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medications.

How to use Cepa Heparin Allantoin: • Always use the gel as described in this leaflet.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.

• Apply the gel to the skin several times a day and gently massage it into the scar tissue until the gel is completely absorbed.

• For old, hard scars, the gel can also be applied overnight and covered with a bandage.

• Treatment can last several weeks or months, depending on the size of the scar or contracture.

• For fresh wounds, avoid physical irritants, such as extreme cold, UV radiation, or intensive massage.

• Use in children • When used in children aged 1 year or older, it is ed to apply the gel to the scar tissue once or twice daily.

• This medication is not ed for children under one year of age.

• If you have any other questions about the use of this medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Possible side effects: Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop hives, rash, or skin swelling.

How to store Cepa, Heparin, Allantoin Gel: • Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.

• Do not use the gel after the expiry date stated on the carton and tube.

• Do not store above 25°C.

• The expiry date after initial opening of the carton is 6 months.

• Do not dispose of medicines in wastewater or household waste.
