darshion Foundation Isaac Asimov

Product description

For more than twelve thousand years, the Galactic Empire ruled the entire galaxy, millions of inhabited planets from the capital Trantor at the heart of the galaxy to its outer rim.

One scientist named Hari Seldon uses psychohistory to predict the future, seeing the decline of the Galactic Empire, and ages of darkness, barbarism, and ignorance that will last for thirty thousand years after the Empire's collapse.

To preserve human knowledge and reduce the period of barbarism to only a thousand years, Hari Seldon gathers the best minds of the galaxy to establish a Foundation on a desolate planet at the far edge of the galaxy, the planet Terminus.

The Foundation soon finds itself surrounded by enemies greater than its ability to confront, barbarian kingdoms that have seceded from the Galactic Empire, and behind them dangers and crises that threaten the Foundation and Hari Seldon's plan for the future of humanity.
