darshion Life is Elsewhere by Milan Kundera

Product description

Yaromil is a poet, so how can one be a poet under a dictatorial regime, a system where freedom of thought is not available? It should be noted that Yaromil never enjoyed freedom.

He is suffocated by his mother's love, who tracks him wherever he goes, and suffocated by the ideologies and slogans of the Communist Party.

He is suffocated by the father whose knowledge he never knew.

He is suffocated by his love for a girl he does not find beautiful.

He is suffocated by his narrow view of the world.

However, 'Life is Elsewhere' is not just the story of a young poet, but a novel about the love of others and self-love.

A novel full of facts, freshness, and Kundera's amazing honesty and humanity.

It is a novel that moves the feelings of any human being because each one of us has wondered, even once, about where life exists and what we get from it.

'Life is Elsewhere', the third work in Kundera's creative career, is a literary masterpiece about literature and those who write in it, about life and those who live it.

It is one of those rare works that not only makes us feel the same emotion when re-reading it, but also gives us a sense of completeness.
