Dedalus Kitap Postmodern: Philosophy, Literature, Nekahet

Product description

The first translations on postmodernism were published and discussed in the 1990s. As far as possibilities go. Articles, texts that are in the process of identification effort or in the process of transferring the summary to the reader, were published, of course. In fact, some have tried to “improve” this concept and methods instead of struggling to understand it. However, this book strives to make the subject a bit more "turkish," to understand postmodernity, postmodern thought, literature, and art in this way, and to drive the discussants within a broad but defined spectrum of concepts and discussion areas. Abdullah başaran, instead of reviewing a summary of postmodern theories in postmodern: philosophy, literature, nekahet, attempts to rehabilitate a famous phrase and re-examine the postmodern discourse in a more appropriate way. With the rehabilitation it applies to “postmodern”, a term that can be equated with relativism, absurdity, eugenics and even laubalism, it claims that postmodern thought is a “stance” that emerged against the tutelage of institutions and organizations brought about by the era, whose own “tradition” and also has other traditions. Another issue the book focuses on, based on this claim, is to open up a discussion of postmodernism's proposals on how this attitude towards the age can be developed and preserved rather than promising a “new” style of modernity or a “better” future as it is assumed.
