Destek Yayınları Silence and Noise

Product description

The author, fethi siyn, opens his eyes on a hot day when the country's absolute ruler, the leader, came to power and celebrated the twentieth anniversary. Just like in other mornings, the rumble of propaganda songs is mixed with the roar of slogans. Siyn, who cannot write due to the pressure they think but does not conform to writing as requested and remains silent, throws himself into the street in the hope of being able to escape from the overwhelming chaos that has become the natural reality of the country. "when he tries to save a student who was beaten by the police, he is unaware that it is at the beginning of a ""long day""." "in siyn, he witnesses painful events that indicate the spirit of the time and the severity of oppression in an ""unknown"" arab country." The leader listens to the people whispering to him, who think he's holding a light. He learns the workings of the propaganda activities of the power and their plans to expose him from his silence. In just one day, it shows and demonstrates how terrifying the insidious cruelty of a revolution can reach. The syrian nihad sisi, a prominent writer of modern arabic literature, gracefully translated his novel silence and noise, which walks a thin line where dystopia and reality intersect, into the original arabic.
