what is polyester?polyester is a durable, quick-drying, and insulating material, ideal for use in textiles and as filling for cushions, covers, and furniture.

polyester is made from crude oil - a finite resource.

since ikea doesn't want to contribute to using more crude oil, we are now gradually switching to recycled polyester, which can be traced back to its sources such as plastic bottles.

the great thing is that polyester can be recycled many times without changing or losing its great properties.
