What is polyester? Polyester is a durable, quick-drying, and insulating material, ideal for use in textiles and as filling for pillows, duvets, and furniture.

Polyester is made from crude oil - a limited resource.

And because IKEA does not want to contribute to the use of more crude oil, we are now gradually switching to recycled polyester that can be traced from sources such as plastic bottles.

The great thing is that polyester can be recycled many times, without changing or losing its wonderful properties.
