To begin with, the “100 basic works” is hopeful-if we manage to get our young people at the level of schooling to read these works, then an important step has been made on the way to becoming a “reading society”. Another positive aspect of the “100 basic works” is that a society will be more tolerant and have a higher level of shared culture, created by individuals who have read the same works and have noticed the richness of emotion and thought in those works. "our publishing house presents ""100 essential works"" including selections from kutadgu bilig, dede korkut's stories, yunus emre's divan, selections from the meccan, selections from nasrettin hodja's fikras, selections from folk poetry, selections from evliya çelebi's travels, selections from kerem i̇le aslı sergüzeşt çağlayanlar, selections from ömer seyfettin's stories, and the gülistan books as a series to our readers." We believe that these works, which are milestones of our culture, will contribute to the maturity of thought and taste of our young people and will shed light on them.
