Product description

“don’t you see, mommy, that i’m drowning? Of course, my love, of course i can see you, i come to help you, don't panic, my darling, my love, mommy will help you, mommy won't let you drown! But who could she ask for help and who would listen? No one

His voice was echoing as if he was trapped in a cellar full of shadows, there was no dream responding, no warm and familiar friend who would come from the darknesses and take his hand, would tell him that everything was fine, would tell him that it was just a dream that no one could tell. Edgar allan poe, h. P. Patrick mcgrath, who allows the dark voices of lovecraft and henry james to echo again in today's literature, is in turkish for the second time with the butcher shop! Mcgrath, known for his ghost cityscape in our country, had dragged the gothic atmosphere to our windows with his stories in this book. This time, while reimagining the pitch black of human history from inside the asylum, he traps the reader inside the walls of a high-security mental hospital. In the main narrative of the tımarhane, which feeds many side stories, there is a complex relationship between a woman who cannot escape from a perverted sexuality, her doctor wife who has high career goals, and a sculptor patient. The stables, which was nominated for the guardian fiction award in 1996, was adapted into a film starring ian mc kellen in 2005. You will want to turn back to the beginning while opening the cover of the novel and walking around the hospital corridors, but the story will already have left you behind.
