Product details

Product description

Ferosac is a form of the mineral iron.

Iron is important for many functions in the body, especially for the transport of oxygen in the blood.

Ferosac injection is used to treat iron deficiency in people with kidney disease.

It is usually given with another medication to promote the growth of red blood cells (such as Aranesp, Epogen, or Procrit).

This medication is not for treating other forms of not caused by iron deficiency.

Ferosac injection may also be used for other purposes not listed here.

How to use: Use Ferosac as directed by your doctor.

Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.

Ferosac is usually administered as an injection at your doctor's office or clinic.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist any questions you may have about Ferosac.

If you miss a dose of Ferosac, contact your doctor right away.

Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Ferosac.

Ferosac can be given in 3 different ways: Slow injection into your vein – 1 to 3 times per week.

As an infusion (drip) into your vein – 1 to 3 times per week.

During dialysis – it will be put into the venous limb of the dialyzer.

Caution &amp

Warnings: Ferosac is not recommended for use in children.
