Start the process slowly to help your dog adjust to the brace. In the first few days, use it 3–5 times a day for 30–60 minutes per session, and gradually increase this duration over the course of a few days as your dog gets used to it. After each session, remove the brace and gently check your dog’s skin for signs of redness, swelling, or irritation. Allow the skin to breathe for a while before the next application. Unless your veterinarian advises otherwise, always remove the brace at night to allow your dog to rest freely.
