What is Desogestrel, Ethinyl Estradiol and what are its uses: Regulon birth control pills are combined oral contraceptive pills (&quot

You take it to prevent pregnancy.

These low-dose contraceptives contain two types of female sex hormones, estrogen and progesterone.

These hormones prevent the release of an egg from the ovaries so you don't get pregnant.

It also makes the fluid (mucus) in the cervix thicker, making it more difficult for sperm to enter the uterus.

This pill is a 21-day pill – you take one pill every day for 21 days, followed by 7 days when you don't take pills.

Benefits of taking birth control pills include: It is one of the most reliable reversible methods of contraception if used correctly.

It does not interrupt sexual activity.

It usually makes periods regular, lighter, and less painful.

It may help treat premenstrual symptoms.

Desogestrel, Ethinyl Estradiol will not protect you from sexually transmitted diseases, such as chlamydia or HIV.

Only condoms can help with this.

Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol should be taken as directed to prevent pregnancy.
