Using the Starry Sky (Wx-288) humidifier is easy and simple. Follow these steps for optimal performance: 1. Preparation (Very Important Step) Open the top cover of the device. Remove the cotton filter (wick) from the plastic tube. Soak the wick in a cup of water for 3 to 5 minutes until it is completely saturated. (Without this step, steam may not be produced immediately upon startup.) 2. Filling with Water Fill the transparent tank with water (filtered or sterilized water is recommended). Warning: Do not exceed the maximum allowed level in the tank. Reattach the top cover securely and ensure the wick is in place with the small spring at the bottom. 3. Connect to Power Plug the USB cable into the rear port of the device. Connect the other end to any power source (phone charger, power bank, or laptop).
