HEREND Box

Product description

Height: 4 cm diameter: 8 cm available in a wide range of herend designs, including bonbonnières, victoria patterns, turkish delight bowls, chocolate bowls, sugar bowls, small and large boxes, with or without lids, in various sizes and shapes, and featuring all herend designs. The original set presented at the first world exposition in london in 1851 was purchased by queen victoria. This set, which requires the superior skills and expertise of the chinese painters, was later named after queen victoria, as it was depicted under the influence of chinese motifs. Everything is handmade... herend is not just porcelain. Traditional methods are still used in the production of herend porcelain. The only thing that utilizes technology in the factory's operation is the heating methods of the ovens. The mixture of lead and raw materials contained in porcelain is equally important. The whiteness, transparency, and clarity in porcelain are achieved through this blend. There are 2000 painters working within herend, which is completely handmade.

painters take full advantage of daylight as they work on figures.

painters can only be authorized to sign their name under their figures if they are “master painters”. In addition to these, herend customers have the chance to own any lost or broken piece of any product they have received from herend's production by ordering to herend. Another feature of herend is that their decorations are particularly inspired by nature.

the decors include special birds, flowers with meanings (like lotus, peony and chinese flowers), nectars, butterflies, waterfall, shepherds and chinese patterns. The price differences of herend porcelains vary depending on the weight and abundance of the decorations on them.
