Home Vertical Curtain Cord Gray

Product description

Vertical curtain rope is the control element in vertical curtain systems, providing one of two fundamental movements: controlling the horizontal movement of the curtain slides (collection and opening to the right and left).

this rope is one of the essential working parts of the vertical blind mechanism, and when it wears or breaks, the opening and closing function of the system stops.

vertical blind systems usually use two separate controls: chain (to adjust the angle of the slides, i.e. tilt movement) and rope (to move the slides horizontally and gather them).

Open and close: the rope pulls the wagons (slide carriers) moving inside the curtain rail, allowing the entire group of slides to be gathered to the right, left or centered (opening the curtain) or spread to cover the window (closing the curtain). The rope connects to the "donkey," the collection block at the end of the wagons, and passes through the pulleys and wagons within the track, creating a complex loop.

constructed from durable high quality polyester material, usually.

this ensures that the rope can withstand constant friction and loads.

standard vertical blind cords usually have a diameter of around 2 mm.

this thickness is critical for proper fitment over the spools and the locks (stoppers) inside the mechanism. The most common option is a white or marled (patterned) rope compatible with the system, but black options are also available for darker colored mechanisms.
