In the second part, he describes the novelist richard powers, who is trying to develop an artificial intelligence program consisting of neural networks enough to pass the exam from the canon of english literature.

The novelist, whose four novels have been published, returned alone as a visiting academician to the university where he graduated and found his first love many years later, agrees to take the role of an assistant who will feed the artificial intelligence named helen with literary texts in a debate among his neuronic friends. During this process, he will lose his heart to his first love, which he sees in the university corridors with c, and while he is going back and forth between a, whom he falls in love with, he will gradually lose his mind to his creation of time, which is beyond a simple program. This literary variation of powers, which shows the connections between genetics, music, and computer programming with the gold bug variations, will also fall in love with its own product, like the sculptor in the mythological story falling in love with the statue he made. This work, where richard powers shows himself the most to his readers, is a mental gateway to the author of the story of everything, and also the novel of the author's formation and passion for writing.
