Sorry to have to say. Shiro hamao, one of the authors who laid the foundation of japanese detective fiction and who also influenced japan's most famous detective writer edogawa ranpo, depicts the portrait of two different murders in two short novels in the apprentice of the devil in a way that will make you shiver.
In the diary written in the first short novel “servant of satan”, the narrator, who was held responsible for the death of a young woman, confesses to other crimes in the letter he sent to the prosecutor of the case, and also accuses the prosecutor, who was his childhood friend, of what they did. In the second short novel, "did he kill them?", a young lawyer investigates the possibility of innocence for a man who is widely believed to have committed murder, and who even admits his crime.
