İthaki Yayınları Stay Here

Product description

The mischievous children of life will soon display their talents again and again.

they will be grumpy, disruptive.

everyone will face a different direction, going another way.

that's exactly what life is about.

fate, only you would know, but you wouldn't say. You would know, like a good writer who writes a good story, but you would remain silent.

until the end, until the end. Keder is a feeling that suddenly rises to the height of three people, bubbling up like relentless tsunami waves

kutlu, on the other hand, is a sixteen-year-old who learns to swim in the midst of these giant waves. He grows up in an orphaned house, woven with the fragility of masculinity. As he grows up, he struggles to understand and interpret life. Despite all the disappointments, impossible loves, and the pessimism of those around him, he clings to his own incomplete story.

staying here is not a choice for him. Walking under the chestnut trees that are at least as old as his grandfather in kumrular, the heart of ankara

he finds that reassuring tranquility in the scent of roasted coffee and yellow chickpeas hanging in the air. "despite the unfinished lives of the adults around him, his older brother kutsal's intellectual crises, his friend erdem's incurable pessimism, and aunt suna's unrelenting anger, he always chooses to remain ""optimistic""."

because for kutlu, running away is a misconception. He wants to complete his own little apartment from where he started. In "staying here," sibel k. türker reminds us that staying isn't about arriving somewhere, but about breaking free from a place where grief is turned into a germ, cold into a god, and helplessness into a privacy trapped within the walls of a home.
