İthaki Yayınları Triple

Product description

Even before the publication of the debut novel, the swedish writer johanna hedman, the triple, attracted the attention of the literary world. The author, who wrote a nostalgic eulogy with the harsh atmosphere he established, embarks on a search for the limits of intimacy through the lives of three young people in this novel. Hugo is unaware that thora and august's life is now a part of it, as he never manages to forget when he rents a room in the house of one of the richest families in stockholm. Thora is the daughter of a well-established swedish family. August is a young man with artistic dreams and is thora's childhood friend. Thora, hugo and august are a trio who have nothing in common, but who are inexorably drawn to each other. Years later, one morning, a young woman appears at the door of hugo's house in new york, hoping to stay with him. He introduces himself as thora's and august's child, and the questions he asks about his parents take hugo back to his youth, the two enthusiastic summer seasons he lived in stockholm, and the people he is now unfamiliar with. A timeless and familiar novel about the choices made, the people we could be, and the relationships that mark our lives. “the love child of the novels of normal people and brideshead revisited… gorgeous and melancholic.” —francesca reece “i can’t understand how johanna hedman can be a new writer. I feel like i've seen the future of swedish literature.” —alex schulman product name: triple
