Product description

In 1941, isaac asimov, a young scientist and writer, won the hugo award for the best series. inspired by edward gibbon's history of the decline and fall of the roman empire, he wrote a saga far beyond his era: the decline of the galactic empire and the return of feudalism. it was told from a perspective looking back at the safe environment of the second galactic empire era. Thus, the epic foundation series, which does not hesitate to ask questions such as “can history be predicted?”, “how should society be managed?” or “why do empires rise and fall?”, emerged as a result of this process. It was the golden age of the galactic empire.

planets have been ruled by this ancient civilization for thousands of years.

but one man had the audacity to foresee the empire ' s collapse: hari seldon, the pioneer of psychohistorical science.

according to their predictions, the galactic war was inevitable.

he established two foundations to postpone this situation as much as possible, one of which was responsible for preserving the thousands of years of information the empire had, and the other of which was unknown, neither where nor what its purpose was. When the empire began to collapse, the residents of the first foundation, who were working on the galactic encyclopedia, realized that seldon played a role beyond their predictions. İthaki publications will continue to publish the foundation series in the order of their release.
