Diclofenac sodium is used to treat: arthritis and bone inflammation such as rheumatoid arthritis, acute gout, and ankylosing spondylitis. Back pain. Muscle strain, joint sprains, sports injuries, and fractures. Conditions affecting tendons such as tendinitis. Mild pain. Do not take Diclofenac sodium: if you are allergic to the active ingredients or any other components of this medicine. If you are allergic to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, including acetylsalicylic acid. If you suffer or have suffered in the past from a stomach ulcer or peptic ulcer, or gastrointestinal bleeding. If you have experienced stomach or intestinal problems after taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. If you suffer from severe liver or kidney disease. If you suffer from serious heart problems. If you have had a stroke, heart attack, or blood vessel problems. If you are in the last three months of pregnancy.
