Product Q&As
I don't understand whether it is 42 or 48
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, the large size is 34 x 48. ☘️

Hello, is it heat resistant? Can a pot be placed on it?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, since we use a chemical product like protective polish in our products, direct contact with a hot pot or pan can cause deformation on the board. A trivet or cloth should definitely be placed in between. ☘️

Where is walnut used? Are all of them used differently? If it is different, can you tell me?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, there is a difference in hardness and pattern between the tree species we use. If a process of bone meat shredding or armor will be applied on the wood, we recommend oak or ash for hardness. All our cutting boards are suitable for daily chopping operations other than this. You can choose any model you want.

What are the dimensions?

I wonder how many kg?
Answer from KAF Ahşap

Does it cause scratches and collapse over time? Is the product varnished?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, we do not use chemicals such as varnish and polish in our products due to food contact. End grain boards are relatively more resistant to scratches than other boards.

Hi, is the board oiled?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, our own production, 100% herbal care cream is applied and shipped. ☘️
Translated by Google
For example, let's say we cut a chicken on it, should we wash it under water with detergent? I see on foreign food channels that they spray something on it, wipe it with a cloth and continue, what do you suggest? The fact that the large model is 7kg shows that it is difficult to wash.
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, you can wash our products with warm water and soap. Afterwards, excess water should be removed with a cloth and the board should definitely be dried in a vertical position, with both sides exposed to air. ☘️

So your other cutting boards, the non-end grain ones, get flimsier? What's the difference?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
End grain boards are thicker, knife-friendly, and longer-lasting compared to horizontal grain boards due to their vertical fiber.

Hello, I want it to be water resistant, which one do you recommend? Is the best one the most expensive?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, the types of wood we use and their features are as follows: 1. Oak: Hardness: Provides high hardness and durability. Oak is strong enough to withstand heavy use. Pattern: Oak is characterized by its open and prominent grain structure. It offers a natural, rustic appearance. Use: It is an ideal option for those looking for a durable cutting board that can be used for heavy work with a long life. 2. Ash: Hardness: Slightly lighter than oak, but still quite hard and durable. Pattern: Ash, with uniform and obvious grain structure. Its surface usually has lighter tones and a natural appearance. Usage: It is an ideal choice for those who want it to be durable and those who are looking for a suitable option for decorative purposes. 3. Sapelli (Sapele): Hardness: Sapelli is a medium hardness wood, very durable. However, it is not as hard as oak. Pattern: Sapelli has a rich, deep pattern structure in dark red-brown tones. It is very aesthetically appealing. Usage: It is an ideal option for those who seek elegance and want a tropical type of tree. Perfect for those seeking eye-catching colors and patterns. 4. Chestnut (Chestnut): Hardness: Chestnut is a medium-hard and very durable wood. It is known for its water resistance and is knife friendly. Pattern: The pattern structure of chestnut is less obvious, but it has a neat and natural texture. Color tones are usually milky brown. Use: It is an ideal option for those looking for cutting boards that are water and moisture resistant, practical and long-lasting. 5. Beech: Hardness: Provides high hardness and durability, withstands intensive use. Pattern: It is light cream in color with a smooth and slightly wavy vein structure, it may darken over time. Use: It is an ideal option for those looking for durable, stylish and long-lasting cutting boards

Hello, what is the size?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, product dimensions are detailed in the second image.

Hello, if the product is not raw, is it varnish?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello to you too. Our products are oiled with olive oil. Absolutely no varnish on any of our cutting board models.
Translated by Google
I wonder if we can clean it with liquid dishwashing detergent? Should we wash it with hot water or cold water? You also said to oil it with vegetable oil once a month for protective purposes, in another product of yours. Do we oil this too? Would it be sunflower oil or olive oil? Are we suppose to pour the oil and spread it on? Do we dry it afterwards?
Answer from KAF Ahşap
Hello, yes you can clean it with warm water. It is very important to maintain your board with olive oil or vegetable oils for its longevity. You need to distribute the oil with the help of a sponge and wait for it to absorb the oil.
